What does a security engagement actually look like?
It starts with a short scoping call to agree on targets and rules of engagement. We then test, document findings as we go, and deliver a prioritized report. We stay available while you fix things, then retest, so you end up with proof the issues are closed instead of a list of them.
Do you test web apps, APIs, and infrastructure?
Yes, across the whole stack: web and mobile apps, REST and GraphQL APIs, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, and the network perimeter. How deep we go depends on your risk and your timeline.
Does the DPDP Act apply to my business, and when?
Almost certainly, if you handle digital personal data of people in India. The Act sets no revenue or headcount threshold. The government can exempt some classes of business, including startups, from a few duties, but only by notification under section 17(3). The DPDP Act and the DPDP Rules 2025 were notified on 14 November 2025, Consent Manager provisions start on 14 November 2026, and every remaining obligation applies from 14 May 2027. The Data Protection Board can impose penalties of up to ₹250 crore for failing to protect personal data. Shadowtrace runs DPDP gap assessments, fixes the gaps and documents the evidence.

Yes. We design and develop websites and web apps, deploy them on secure infrastructure, and keep them maintained afterwards with updates, backups, monitoring and performance tuning. Security hardening is part of the job from the start.

Not yet. VPS hosting with built-in DDoS defense is on our roadmap. If you want early access, send an enquiry and we'll tell you when it opens.
